Pomelo… a crisp citrus fruit native to South and Southeast Asia. During Chinese New Year, the Chinese uses this as offering during the prayers.

Yup I am excited and also love sharing with my readers how the Chinese New Year celebration is held in Malaysia. The new year biscuits are the best as there are lots of choices to choose from. =)

well.. you can come during other festivals as Malaysia is multicultural country as we celebrate many festivals; some are big while some are smaller ones. I know you will enjoy all these different customs. =)
Chinese New Year is so fun! I will have to celebrate, unfortunately, probably next week and not on Friday. Didn’t know that pomelos are used as an offering for prayers!
Yes.. CNY can be really fun. It is also a time where all the family member gather around. Guess like the US’s Thanksgiving Day. Yup.. pomeloes are used as offering for prayers too. =)

We celebrated the Chinese New Year in Vietnam. Lovely abundant orange trees with red ribbons sat everywhere! We couldn’t figure out the horse figures in flowers until we found out it is the “Year of the Horse.” Great blog you have here!
