Upgraded & Flew Business Class … feel so pampered. LOL!!

Yes.. you heard me right. Well… I have been traveling by planes many times but I had never been so lucky to be upgraded to the next level during my check in.. not once but 3 times if I am not mistaken.

As you may know, traveling in economy… with the seats more closer and leg space lesser (but the newer planes, it is getting better more spaciest for some airlines but not all as compared to many years back. Back then, I really hated traveling long distances). Anyway… just to share with you, this was far the best business class seat I have been upgraded to even though it was only an hours flight; Taipei to Hong Kong using Cathay Pacific Airlines but it was worth the experience. LOL!! Wish it could also cover my other connecting sector but guess that part, I wasn’t that lucky.

IMG_0138 It was a single seat with own cubicle.

IMG_0141  Loved the seat. Recline all the way down; like a bed.

IMG_0148  View from my window seat.

IMG_0154  A different set of serving….

IMG_0155 Food wise…. mmmmm maybe presentation is better. LOL!!

Like to say, thank you Cathay… can I get another few more upgrades in my next few flights if I am using you?

    • Thanks. It was kinda lucky. They did not tell me. I only found out when I wanted to board the plane and the ground crew just told me to return my boarding pass. They told me that I was upgraded and handed me my new boarding pass. All I could say that time was ‘Thank you’ and a BIG smile. LOL!!

  1. I’ve never been upgraded, and we fly quite a bit. But I
always wonder, would it ruin me? Would I hate cramped even more
after the experience? Lucky you though! It looks awesome.

    • Well, I believe it is more of you have to be there at the right time at the right place with the right airlines AND the right ground crew… phew.. that’s a long sentence. So … what are of the chances of having that all that right? mmmm.. a bit of lady’s luck or even more. Anyway… it does ruin one if you have flown in Business class especially the one I had with the cubicle as compared to the wider seat. Nowadays, some Asian airlines have their seats slightly wider and slightly more leg space in the economy class but just less pampering. LOL!

  2. Thanks for dropping by my blog and liking my posts! I followed the link back and browsed around your blog… this post caught my attention. I happened to fly back business class on a 10 hour flight from Europe to North America. It was g-r-e-a-t! They even had the noise cancellation headphones and toaster oven baked cookies. yum-yum…

    • Yup… totally agree with you. Guess you benefited more on a longer flight as you can feel the comfort and also your body rested better especially between Business and economy class. The other is.. they call you by your name everytime. =) LOL!!

      • Flying business class for the long leg was wonderful … except then it was followed by another 1.5 hour flight. As we were flying stand-by on a full flight, we were lucky to get on. However, we were assigned middle seats in economy for our last leg. I happened to be seated between two bigger guys (who each took over one of my armrests). đŸ˜¦ It was a long 1.5 hours while I reminded myself to be thankful that the long flight had been in business class. đŸ˜‰

        • I wished I could fly long distance on business class.. one day! LOL! Yup.. I know how it feels to be sandwiched between 2 much bigger guys on both side. Uncomfortable is the word! Lucky of you to suffer for a short flight else.. it would be an agony.

    • Cathay is not bad. I have tried a few airlines before .. mostly Asia Airlines; Singapore Airlines, Malaysian Airlines, China Airlines and of course Cathay Pacific. I would say they are nearly the same but I guess the only airlines that I got upgraded was only CX… LOL!!!
