Trip back for Chinese New Year Celebration

My trip back yesterday was a smooth one. I was expecting a long and slow drive back as everyone was taking leave and also rushing back to their hometown.

Got up 5am plus to start our journey as last year we left a bit later and the traffic was heavy and was a pace of average 70km per hour and it took us about 6 hrs where a good smooth trip will usually take about 5 hrs.

Our first stop for breakfast was on of the RnR (rest and recreation) area along the highway.

Food to buy and if you noticed, early in the morning people were already eating rice with dishes to select from.

USA – A drive around Poughkeepsie, New York (2)

This is my 2nd part on the drive around Poughkeepsie, New York. If you miss my 1st part, here is the link; USA – A drive around Poughkeepsie, New York (1)

It is really nice to drive around the area and to see beautiful houses and surroundings, and also the colour of the golden leaves; autumn feeling.

A pink painted house that really caught my eyes as it was just the only one that stands out.

A road leading to somewhere with autumns leaves fallen on the road side. The next few photos captures the feel of autumn with such golden colour that I cant help sharing with my readers.

This is something I do not get to see in Malaysia as in Malaysia, it is only has 2 seasons; hot and wet. There is no 4 seasons or even snow to enjoy. Just sun and more sun. =)

This is one of my business trip and this time was to New York, USA back in Nov 2009. I had took the opportunity to all travel around the area where I went and take as many photos as I could. Over here are just some of it. This is my first part of USA which I will  share; New York.

How’s the flight? It was one of my longest flight ever; KL – Singapore (transit) – Frankfurt (transit) – New York.  It was close to 24hrs trip. This is the kind of trip I wish I was on business class but well… no luck then to be upgraded from economy class.

My first transit was in Changi Airport…

Landed in JFK International Airport in the early morning and rented a car to drive to Poughkeepsie which was about an hour to an hour half from New York City.  It was suppose to be beginning of winter and I was told that there would be snow but I was lucky and it was nice cool temp. No snow at all.

Below are some of the pictures I managed to capture driving around Poughkeepsie during my weekend there.

Beautiful countryside…..
